August 16, 1986 – After graduating from Janus Pannonius University (today University of Pécs), he becomes music teacher and choir conductor at the University’s No. 1 Practice Elementary School.
From September 1987 – Appointed lead supervising teacher, actively taking part in training music and choral conducting majors at the university.
From 2001 – Adviser to the University of Pécs.
Since 1979 – Continuous work as choir director/conductor with various choirs and orchestras (see Biography / Career), and continuous composition.
1996 – Founds a music publishing company (Schóber GP – SCHTUDIOTON).

2015 – Featured participant in the EUROPA CANTAT Composer Showcase.
2015 – Founds the Pannon Music Association.
2015 – Founds the Pannon Children’s Choir.
2015 – On his initiative, the Pannon Philharmonic Festival Choir is established.
From 2015 – Also serves as music subject consultant in Baranya County, reinterpreting music education to meet contemporary challenges and improve outcomes.
2016 – Second invitation to Carnegie Hall, New York as composer and conductor.
2016 – Commissioned to set poems by Győző Csorba to music; composes “Autumn Garden”, and in parallel his string quartet “Festive Rondo — in Honor of Győző Csorba.”
2016 – Founding contributor of the Ormánság–Bőköz Cultural Festival.
2016 – Participates (with the Pannon Children’s Choir) in the world premiere of Csaba Vedres: Miserere.
2016 – After extensive preparation, completes his first symphonic works.
2016 – Meets Zoltán Mága; they give a joint concert. The world-famous violinist becomes an official supporter and patron of the Pannon Children’s Choir’s U.S. tour.
2017 – With the Pannon Children’s Choir, travels to New York and performs at Carnegie Hall.
2018 – Invited by Manhattan Concert Productions to collaborate (as chorus master) on Broadway productions in New York and London.
January 1, 2019 – Performs at Zoltán Mága’s Budapest New Year’s Concert at the Papp László Budapest Sports Arena.
2019 – Canada–USA tour (stops: Calgary, Vancouver, Missoula, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Cleveland, New Brunswick, New York).
2019 – Performs at Zoltán Mága’s megaconcert on the square before St. Stephen’s Basilica, Budapest.
January 1, 2020 – Performs again at Zoltán Mága’s Budapest New Year’s Concert at the Papp László Budapest Sports Arena.
January 2020 – Japan tour (Tokyo, Kyoto, Kobe, Osaka); wins Bronze X at the Sing’n Pray KOBE International Choral Competition.
June 2020 – Completes the Pannon Mass.
June 2020 – Winner of the “Thank You, Hungary” composition grant.
Autumn 2020 / Spring 2021 – Completes large-scale symphonic works (21 Grams, European Rhapsody 2021).
April 2021 – Launches the Pannon Music and Cultural Program with the University of Pécs, aimed at deepening music education for Hungarians living in the diaspora.
October 2021 – Submits a proposal to the University of Pécs leadership to establish the PTE Hungarian World School, expected to be named PTE Hungarians Worldwide Academy.
June 2022 – Conducts the world premieres of one of his newest works, the Pannon Mass, in New York (Manhattan) and New Brunswick.
From Summer 2022 – Following the successful premieres and the New York trip, his compositional activity intensifies and diversifies; from this time he hands over leadership of his choir to former student András Rébék-Nagy.
February 8, 2023 – The University of Pécs Hungarians Worldwide Network Platform (VMNP) Program Office holds its inaugural meeting based on his concept and plans. Within the platform, the Pannon Music and Cultural Program is established, with Schóber as project leader.
March 2024 – The South American program is realized; he successfully teaches members of the Hungarian diaspora in Colombia, Peru, and Argentina.
May 23, 2024 – The Orff ensemble of the Cistercian St. Louis High School of Pécs premieres Tamás Schóber: Horse Tale (Lómese) — a world premiere. (“See the link below — Click here.”)
June 24, 2024 – Commissioned by the Rákóczi Association to compose a march. He completes and orchestrates the work within one week; it is accepted with success.
Autumn 2024 – Launch of the School of Hungarians Worldwide, teaching Hungarian as a foreign language to members of the diaspora.
From December 20, 2024 – The Hungarians Worldwide Media Network also begins operations.
